US-based critical infrastructure supplier Vertiv has acquired Belgium’s Waylay NV, a developer of automation software for power and cooling optimisation in digital infrastructure.
Vertiv said the acquisition will expand its ability to provide AI-based monitoring, predictive services and performance optimisation for data centres.
“As AI workloads continue to drive strong growth in data centre demand, the need for intelligent, adaptive infrastructure continues to grow. AI-based digital services for power and cooling systems are essential to support the high-density, high-performance computing environments powering generative AI,” says Vertiv CEO Giordano Albertazzi.
Waylay’s platform enables workflow automation, system integration and orchestration, and can analyse real-time machine data to support predictive maintenance and energy efficiency measures.
