Seven wind turbine service technicians from Nordex Energy South Africa (NESA) have completed a month-long training programme at the Nordex Academy in Türkiye – aimed at building local capacity to service the company’s latest turbine platform.
The training focused on the Delta 4000 platform, which is being deployed across NESA’s South African projects. According to the company, the programme will enhance operational readiness for its 631 MW project pipeline and provide technicians with the knowledge required to support new wind farms currently under construction.
“The international training supports project delivery and localisation objectives. It equips our teams with essential knowledge of the Delta 4000 platform, enhances operational readiness for our upcoming pipeline and promotes peer-to-peer knowledge sharing that benefits the entire organisation,” says Babalwa Kekana, Head of Service at NESA.
