A new Schneider Electric programme for African system integrators will cover competencies in industrial automation, software and lifecycle services.
The SI Energise 2.0 programme includes 18 competencies aligned with the company’s EcoStruxure Plant and Machine architectures and 10 AVEVA industrial software competencies covering SCADA, manufacturing execution systems, cloud analytics and performance optimisation.
The programme intends to help integrators move beyond project-based hardware delivery into system design, software integration, optimisation and lifecycle services.
“Customers want partners who can support them from design to optimisation, not just during installation,” says Schneider Electric Industrial Automation Channel Marketing Manager for sub-Saharan Africa Oriel Soupen.
Participating system integrators will progress through three subscription-based tiers: registered, certified and master. Schneider Electric says the tiers represent increasing levels of capability, performance and co-innovation maturity.
Technical support will include access to product application engineers, system architects and subject matter experts as well as software packages for development and testing.
Integrators will also have access to the company’s digital tools, including mySchneider, product configurators, design accelerators and software licence management tools.
“By giving them the right digital tools and expert guidance, we reduce engineering time, minimise project risk and help them deliver high-quality outcomes across the full lifecycle of an industrial asset,” Soupen says.
The programme also includes joint market support, incentives and co-marketing opportunities in the water, mining, consumer packaged goods and infrastructure sectors.
More than 60 South African system integrators have joined the programme including certified and master partners. Schneider Electric plans to extend the programme across Southern, East and West Africa.
