Energize has joined the Estates in Africa publishing portfolio, following a change in ownership on September 1. This marks a significant shift for the electricity and energy-focused publication, which has been part of the Now Media Group since 2019.
Justin Render, editor of EngineerIT, has taken over as editor from Natasha Schmidt.
The move brings Energize together with its sister title, EngineerIT, which Estates in Africa acquired in January 2025. With Render overseeing both titles, the publications’ complementary coverage of electricity, energy, technology and engineering creates opportunities for closer collaboration.
The Now Media Group, known for its expertise in trade and business-to-business publishing built over more than 70 years, thanks Energize’s loyal readers and advertisers for their support and wishes the publication continued success under its new management.
