It's lights out for inefficient bulbs

The ban on the sale of incandescent light bulbs and compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) has come into effect, as of May 24, a year after the intention to phase them out was announced. New mandatory lighting standards were published in the Government Gazette by the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC) in 2023.
