Genesis Hexicon’s proposal for South Africa’s first offshore floating wind farm has entered the environmental impact assessment (EIA) phase. The proposed 810 MW Gagasi offshore floating wind farm will cover approximately 140 square kilometres of ocean space, approximately 5 km off the coastline at its closest point in the north and 17 km at its closest point in the south.
