SolarEdge Technologies, a global leader in smart energy technology, announced today the launch of SolarEdge Home in South Africa – a smart energy ecosystem that allows homeowners to maximise solar energy production and battery storage, overcome load shedding events and reduce electricity costs. It features a complete suite of smart energy products to suit different homeowner needs, all working together seamlessly and managed by the mySolarEdge app.

SolarEdge Home is comprised of the SolarEdge Home record-breaking, 99% energy efficient inverter, SolarEdge power optimisers that connect to each panel, a SolarEdge home battery, backup interface, smart energy devices such as the SolarEdge EV charger, hot water controller and smart switches, and an operating system which synchronises and manages the system devices. Developed to harvest more energy from the sun, the DC-coupled solution optimises energy use by operating loads directly from the sun, storing excess energy and providing real-time recommendations adapted to changing energy needs.

SolarEdge Home system is simple to install and maintain. The different devices connect through the proprietary SolarEdge Home Network, eliminating the need to run communication cables between the system components, and all system parts benefit from SolarEdge service and warranty.
