Myth: Harmonics are only a problem in large systems

Harmonics are widely assumed to be a problem confined to large industrial electrical systems. At one stage this was largely true. However, changes in electrical technology have fundamentally altered where harmonics are generated and how their effects are experienced across modern power systems.
