Minister Ramokgopa endorses Africa Energy Indaba 2026

Electricity and Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has officially endorsed the Africa Energy Indaba 2026, affirming the event’s role in advancing Africa’s energy future. Scheduled for March 3-5 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, the Indaba serves as a key platform for dialogue, investment and collaboration across the continent’s energy sector.

The minister’s endorsement highlights government’s commitment to fostering partnerships that promote energy security, economic growth and sustainable development. In his address at the 17th Africa Energy Indaba this year, Ramokgopa emphasised the need for Africa to chart its own energy future – one that prioritises security of supply, industrialisation and a just, equitable transition. He highlighted the value of forums such as the Indaba in facilitating discussions and collaborations that translate into actionable solutions for the continent’s energy challenges.

The Africa Energy Indaba 2026 will convene ministers, policymakers, investors and industry leaders to explore innovative solutions, share insights and build partnerships aimed at accelerating Africa’s energy transition. With focus on inclusivity and sustainability, the event will address key issues including energy access, infrastructure development and financing mechanisms.

As Africa continues to navigate the complexities of energy transformation, Ramokgopa’s support reaffirms the Indaba’s significance as a catalyst for progress and a testament to South Africa’s leadership in shaping the continent’s energy landscape.
