Meter anti-tampering: The good, the bad and the pointless

Tampering tactics have become more sophisticated – from magnetic fields and bypass wires to time manipulation and electromagnetic jammers. Smart meters now respond with sensor-triggered shutdowns, current comparisons and software-level safeguards that log every anomaly. But not every anti-tamper feature is as clever as it seems.
