BESS is best: energy storage in modern power networks

A surge in renewable energy (RE) adoption has spurred large-scale deployment of energy storage solutions globally, particularly battery energy storage systems (BESS). The largest project in development is a 5 GW, 12 GWh storage system planned for Prah, India, designed to stabilise variable power sources such as solar and wind.
