Terrapinn, the organisers of the annual Power and Electricity World Africa conference and exhibition, which was to be held on 31 March to 1 April 2020 at the Sandton Convention Centre, have postponed the event in the interest of public health and safety. This decision was reached after much deliberation and consultation with industry stakeholders in light of recent global developments around the COVID-19 virus.
Although South Africa remains completely safe for travel, and has deployed the strictest medical and hygiene protocols, the organisers know that a majority of key participants, significant to the event’s success, are unable to travel due to restrictions in their home countries.
Under this consideration, Power and Electricity World Africa has been postponed to 20 to 21 August 2020. The event will again take place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
Our decision comes after much deliberation and consultation with industry stakeholders, who have strongly endorsed our prioritisation of the collective interests of both the global exhibitors and the key buyers from the region.
