Data centre company awarded elite partner status

- Advertisment -

Schneider Electric has conferred Elite Partner status on Hitech-Gregfor in the APC by Schneider Electric channel partner programme. This follows the company’s “newcomer award”, which it received at the end of last year. Hitech-Gregfor is said to be a leader in South Africa in the sheet metal manufacturing, data centre integration and ITC industries.

Bruce Grobler, the vice president for Schneider Electric’s IT business unit for southern Africa, says this award will enable Hitech-Gregfor to scope, develop and design data centres to Schneider Electric’s standard, allowing it to become involved in large projects with confidence.

Elite partners receive preferential pricing, access to marketing development funds, and training and marketing resources. They also enjoy accreditation and acknowledgement of competencies as a system integrator for data centres on identification, development and design, and priority technical and sales support.

Hitech-Gregfor recently completed a data centre project at the Wits IBM Watson Research Centre in Johannesburg using three of Schneider Electric’s MGE Galaxy 5500 120 kVA 400 V integrated parallel UPSs, two PDPs and an external bypass panel, as well as eight cooling units.
